- Arrive 10 mins before class.
- Always drink water during the day, not just before class.
- Bring a towel or blanket.
- Mats are provided.
- Bring comfortable clothing.
- Try not to loose focus and keep your breath with your movement.
Intensives
There are a few simple things you could address that may help you with the early morning starts and adjusting to a morning practice.
- Do nothing too "thinking" or active after 8pm , try to have dinner as early as possible.
- Have a lighter dinner than normal.
- Aim to wake up 45min prior to practice.
- Wash teeth, tongue, throat, eyes, nose, empty bowels, bladder.
- Take a small cup of tea if you like.
- Morning practice is the traditional time for yoga.
- Try not to compare how far you can stretch in pm as to where you go in am
- The mind is clearer in the morning and allows you to facilitate a practice focused on breath, bandhas, dristis and posture.
